Thriving in a Pandemic Webinar Series

The uncertainty of the pandemic has highlighted many of the fears we navigate on a daily basis. Participants in the Managing Fear webinar will be provided an opportunity to address the impact of their fears during the pandemic, increase their awareness of how they respond to their fears, and self-care skills. Further topics will include: emotional exhaustion, reducing media exposure, managing uncertainty.
Managing Distress and Increasing Resilience
Wednesday, September 30th from 5:30-6:30 pm
This webinar has been designed to provide participants an opportunity to process, name, and address the impact of stressors during the pandemic. Additionally, the session is designed to help participants remain proactive and increase their resilience and self-care. Topics discussed include: anxiety management tools, identifying triggers, personal wellness plan, increasing/ defining self-care.
Thursday, October 1st from 6:30-8:00 pm
The COVID-19 pandemic has restructured life as we know it, and it can be difficult to adapt. Many of us may not have fully acknowledged how we are needing to adjust to our New Normal. This session was designed to provide participants an opportunity to process and acknowledge the impact of their experiences during the pandemic. Topics include: grieving previous norms (High school graduation), adjusting to current demand, tips for managing exhaustion.
International Students' Healing and Recovery
Monday, October 5th from 6:00-7:30 pm
International students have to navigate a various number of demands. This session has been created to provide participants an opportunity to process their experiences during the pandemic. Participants will also learn how to remain proactive and increase their acceptance of their healing. Additional topics of discussion include: support navigating xenophobia and uncertainty.
How Do I Connect While Physical Distancing?
Monday, September 28th from 3:30-4:30 pm
Physical distancing requirements have made it difficult to feel connected and supported leaving us to ask How do I connect while physical distancing? This session focuses on reducing feelings of isolation, strategize ways to stay connected, and explore interpersonal relationship experiences and challenges during the pandemic.
Racial Healing and Recovery for BIPOC
Wednesday, September 30th from 6:00-7:00 pm
The Racial Healing & Recovery has been designed to provide participants an opportunity to increase their awareness of their racial and cultural healing systems. This session includes the following topics: Racial Trauma Toolkit, cultural healing, racial battle fatigue, and engaging in activism.
LBGTQ+ Affirming Healing and Wellness
Monday, October 5th from 6:00-7:00 pm
Navigating non-affirming spaces can be stressful. This session has been designed to provide participants an opportunity to process and acknowledge difficulty they have experienced during the pandemic. The LGBTQ+ Affirming Healing & Wellness session is designed to help participants remain proactive and increase their acceptance of their healing. Other topics of discussion include: accessing support for LGBTQ+ students, navigating non-affirming spaces, increase community connection and awareness of resources.
