Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
As a counselor I strive to create an environment where students feel welcomed, wanted, and comfortable exploring the challenges of college. I want to walk along students and help them discover they have ability to overcome whatever difficult circumstances life has placed in front of them. Professional Interests: Substance abuse, spirituality, identity development, relationship concerns, and other concerns related to the college experience.
Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
As a young professional, I feel fortunate to work in an environment that allows me to grow in this area both professionally and personally. Confronting my own privilege has been uncomfortable at times but has been a rewarding experience. It has led me to a deeper understanding of myself and how I interact with the world around me. I love to engage in dialogue about diversity and social justice while listening to the unique life experiences that have shaped my clients into the people that sit across from me. I believe that there is always more room to grow in my understanding of diversity and social justice, and I am committed to continued growth.
Personal Interests
Outside of work I enjoy traveling with my wife, visiting friends, working on film sets, going to concerts, carpentry, photography, and participating in anything else that is competitive.
