Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
As a licensed professional counselor, my goal is to provide a safe space to help process experiences and learn new strategies to manage presenting concerns. Through collaborative work, I will help students engage in personal reflection, explore behavioral patterns, and develop effective coping skills. I have a professional interest in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help students manage anxiety, grief, relationships concerns, academic stress, and work-life balance.
Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
Advocating for diversity and social justice is a journey that requires both self-exploration and social awareness. I believe that by gaining a better understanding of the individual features that influence our collective views, we can acknowledge, accept, challenge, and change the manner in which we perceive and interact with other members of our community. I aspire to continuously explore my own professional experiences and personal influences as a means of developing a comprehensive approach to issues related to diversity and social justice.
Personal Interests
I enjoy filming, editing videos, watching Netflix, reading, writing, traveling, being creative, playing with my dog and five cats, and spending time with my family.
