Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
I believe that every individual deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and empathy, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances. As I grew up in El Salvador, I consider that my personal and professional journey has instilled in me a profound understanding of the importance of inclusivity and equity in mental health and well-being. My consistent dedication strives to promoting mental health and well-being for all individuals, irrespective of their backgrounds or identities. I am committed to creating an empathetic and inclusive environment where everyone can explore challenges, find their strengths, and work towards positive change in their lives. By doing this, I hope to contribute to the creation of a more fair and compassionate society.
