Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
Life is hard. I support the belief that our burdens are halved when we share our struggles with the appropriate resources. We all need extra support now and again to get out of our heads and think of new ideas. I am passionate about working with college students as this is your exploratory phase. Mistakes can serve as valuable learning experiences to guide us to keep going forward. We can be so mean to ourselves, and sometimes we need a reminder to practice self-compassion.
I enjoy talking about career exploration and helping students manage their stress. I have experience engaging with prospective students interested in pursuing a career in health professions. I understand the competitive nature of admission to professional school, and the pressure applicants face. Finally, I take a solution-focused, person-centered approach to therapy.
Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
Diversity is a chance to celebrate others. As an advocate, I believe everyone has a seat at the table. At the table, it is vital for all members to be respected and to feel like they belong. Everyone has a voice, and it is important to remember your power.
Personal Interests
I am a former Disney Cast Member and a lifelong Disney fan. I like plants, crystals, and hot tea. In my free time, I like traveling and spending time with friends and family. My go-to comfort foods are mashed potatoes, tacos, and pizza. I enjoy podcasts, relaxing with my cat, and watching romantic comedies.
