Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
I approach therapy with a prioritization on developing and growing the relationship with my clients to allow for an open space to create the change they wish and hope to see in their lives. I believe in working with clients as a team to identify their issues and needs and collaboratively develop plans and develop tools to allow them to address their current challenges and resolve past pains and traumas that they may have faced. I work primarily utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach incorporating aspects of existential therapy, mindfulness and acceptance in my work with clients. My professional interests include mood disorders, performance anxiety, men and masculinity, and working with individuals in early onset of psychosis.
Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
I believe that the being aware of the differences in background, experiences and challenges that others have and experiences allows for greater personal growth for myself as well as increases my ability as a mental health provider. Recognizing and continuing to learn of the vast differences that can exist within populations and between populations has allowed me to be more aware of my own privileges as well as connect with clients more effectively in addressing their needs.
Personal Interests
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and attending sporting events whenever I can.
