The DMS has a mission to provide multiple developmental experiences to cultivate meaningful engagement, foster a culture where students can thrive, and develop students’ capacities to work productively and collaboratively with others in preparation for an increasingly complex world.
APC aims to unite and strengthen the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) community and serve as the voice and representative body of the APIDA community at Texas A&M University. They serve as the umbrella organization for APIDA-interest registered student organizations.
The purpose of BSAC is to enhance and unify the Black community while making the Texas A&M campus more aware of the accomplishments, achievements and needs of the Black student body. The council also fosters the commitment and investment of students in the Black Aggie Community by serving as an ally and community-building social network.
Hispanic Presidents’ Council seeks to provide a mechanism through which all Hispanics can become full and contributing students of Texas A&M University. HPC serves as an umbrella organization for Hispanic-based student organizations by disseminating resources to the student population and the prospective organizations involved, and thus providing a “voice” for the concerns of the Hispanic population.
MSC CAMAC works on uniting students from diverse backgrounds by presenting programs that enrich the awareness and understanding of Latina/o cultures and values.
SCOLA’s mission is to provide a forum [through a 3 day conference] for students to discuss significant issues that impact the Latinx community and to foster exemplary leadership and professional development among our members. It is our belief that the interaction, discussion, and enlightenment fostered by the conference effectively creates a stimulating educational and life-changing experience.
The AALANA Living Learning Community supports the academic pursuits and social success of first-year undergraduate students who self-identify as African American/Black, Latinx/Hispanic American, Native/American Indian, or Native Hawaiian. AALANA promotes academic readiness, personal growth, community interaction, and self and cultural knowledge through a community centered approach.
WBAC focuses on the culture, concerns, history and heritage of Black people with a heightened intent to educate and explore.
