ISS facilitates international students’ admittance to the United States, assists international students’ transition to life in the United States and at Texas A&M, promote interactions between the U.S. and international populations, and provide services necessary to meet the specific needs of international students.
Texas A&M has over 60 student organizations, clubs, and associations that may interest international students.
- The International Student Association is an Aggie organization that embraces diversity and fosters a platform for cultural empowerment and education.
- I-Week: A week of events hosted by ISA showcasing the culture and tradition of various countries in the world.
ISMA is an organization which helps international students adjust to American culture and to the enormous environment of Texas A&M University! They do this by pairing international students with a mentor to help them out whenever needed, and through a variety of socials and road trips throughout the semester!
- OGAPS serves Texas A&M graduate students as an advocate for their graduate education and houses the Ombuds Officer for Graduate Education.
- G.R.A.D. Aggies - Several Texas A&M offices joined forces to provide support by offering professional development opportunities including workshops, seminars, training events and online resources
UWC offers international students who speak English as a foreign language assistance with writing and public speaking, including class assignments, theses, dissertations, or conversation practice.
English Language Proficiency (ELP) program is a linguistic service provided to Texas A&M’s international instructors (and prospective instructors) who wish to improve their spoken English skills. Support services are confidential and at no additional cost to the participant.
The DMS mission is to provide multiple educational and developmental services for underrepresented and underserved racial and ethnic populations. In addition, they provide diversity education programs that foster inclusive learning environments for all students.
