Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests

As a clinician, I try to create a collaborative and process oriented environment to assist clients in working toward insights and solutions to ease the mental anguish they are experiencing. I work from a solutions focused perspective, while also looking at the interplay between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how past traumas effect current struggles. I embrace an LGBTQ Affirmative lens that assists ALL clients to embrace themselves and become the person they are meant to be.

Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice

Therapy can be a tool for empowering all people, and providing in my view, the ultimate social justice- self-love. It is only through cultural humility, and compulsive curiosity to learn and unLearn all that we must in order to be of service to others in the pursuit of healing.

Personal Interests

In my downtime I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs, cooking, traveling, and camping. I spend as much time by the water as possible, be it Lake, River or Pool!
