Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
“If you are neutral in situations of injustice you have chosen the side of the oppressor”- Desmond Tutu.
I believe that ally-ship requires action no matter how big or small. For some that action may be joining protest, for others that might be educating themselves, for some that might be making donations to certain organizations, and for others that might be reaching out to people they know personally affected by current events. I believe that the most important thing is to have an opinion and show that you care. I believe that it is okay to care and have opinions on many things, especially if those opinions are pushing society towards the greater good.
Personal Interests
I love plants and I take care of many during my free time. I also really enjoy playing with my dogs, going to concerts and reading a good book.
