Personal Statement on Diversity and Social Justice
Diversity is a fact; inclusion is a choice.
Being a Latina, I consider my own experiences and use this as a tool to create a more inclusive environment. It has challenged me to change my perspective and be aware of any bias I may show in the work I do, so I am actively working in advocating for others and learning on how I can create a more inclusive environment in every space I find myself in.

3 fun facts about me: I have a Great Dane taller than me, I am a huge Dallas Mavericks fan, and I enjoy traveling – always looking for the next flight out.
